The Idaho Vandals cheerleaders are under going a make-over after spectators complained that their “uniforms were flashing a little more than school spirit.” The cheerleader's two piece uniform, which was made up of a halter top and short black skirt were deemed “too skimpy” and “inappropriate.” See more pics of the offending uniform after the jump.
Apparently jaws dropped at the season’s opening game September 6th when the girls entered the field. Spectators were more shocked by the cheerleader's outfits than by the Vandals actually winning a game. Bruce Pitman the dean of students at the University of Idaho said that “a number of fans were concerned that the uniforms were inappropriate. [and] to be fair, there were a number of fans who liked them."
It was quickly decided that the uniforms would be dropped and replaced. At last week’s game the girls wore football jerseys and volleyball shorts. A sum of $4,200 has been donated to the cheer squad so that they can purchase less risqué outfits. Personally, I don't have a problem with them at all.
