1000 Ways To Die Lands Its Own Graphic Novel

June 14, 2011

Death has found a new home -- comic books! Spike TV, Original Productions and Zenescope Entertainment announced today that they will be teaming up for a graphic novel of the hit original series 1000 Ways to Die. Currently in its third season, 1000 Ways has been an important franchise over the years for both Spike TV and the show's Executive Producer, Thom Beers (Coal). It seems only fitting for it to be the first ever comic adaptation of a Spike TV show.

Originally premiering in May 2008, each episode features reenactments of rather unfortunate deaths, proving to the viewers: you never know when death will find you. All new episodes return later this summer with a "Death By Special Request" episode set to follow. The unique "request" episode will feature the top deaths as voted on by the fans as well as all new content. Fan voting is currently live on Spike.com.

Though no release date for the graphic novel has been set by Zenescope, the graphic novel company which is widely regarded as one of the strongest independent companies in the market, is no stranger to keeping busy. It currently publishes such titles as "Grimm Fairy Tales," "SE7EN," and "Return To Wonderland."

Full episodes from past seasons of 1000 Ways to Die are currently available online. Stay tuned to Spike.com for all your 1000 Ways updates.
