Live Lunch: Nirvana

April 4, 2008

On November 18, 1993, Nirvana and a few of their closest musical mates got together for an episode of MTV Unplugged at Sony Studios in New York City. Kurt and his pals performed a few Nirvana classics as well as some unforgettable cover tunes.

One of the biggest standout cuts of the night had to be the smooth rendition of "Lake of Fire" by the Meat Puppets. Nirvana covered three songs by the Meat Puppets that evening and gave the Arizona outfit their very first taste of mainstream popularity. See why.
