Last night at MTV's Video Music Awards, Katy Perry won big, taking home three awards when all was said and done. Lady Gaga was just behind Perry with two Moonmen of her own. Perry was handed the top Video of the Year prize for "Firework" featuring Kanye West. Even though these two ladies scored big on the award side of things, Beyonce, surprisingly sporting a pregnant belly, really blew hearts and minds alike when she performed "Love on Top" literally right after announcing her pregnancy. That's baller, y'all. Not to be outdone, Lady Gaga opened the award festivities by busting out her piano pop ballad "You & I" in drag as her male alter ego Joe Calderone with Queen guitarist Brian May. [MTV]

Matthew Fox Detained for Assault

Actor Matthew Fox was detained by police in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday night after allegedly assaulting a woman. Fox reportedly tried boarding a private party bus after a drinking session at an unidentified bar. Fox stumbled onto the bus, hoping it would drive him to his hotel when he was stopped by bus driver Heather Bormann. Bormann told TMZ, "He just kept staring at me with his mouth wide open and not saying anything. I told him, 'You have to leave buddy. You are trespassing on my bus.'" The Lost star then reportedly struck Bormann in the breast and crotch area. Bormann hit back, splitting the actor's lip. Fox was handcuffed and detained by police, later being released without being formally arrested. Bormann says she plans to press charges. [TMZ]

Sebastian Bach Loses his Home in Hurricane Irene

According to reports, former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach had his New Jersey home totally destroyed by flood waters from Hurricane Irene over the weekend. Bach stated on his official website: "I am numb, in shock and devastated to report that my home of 21 years, my house featured on MTV Cribs, has been destroyed, condemned, and deemed uninhabitable due to the extreme flooding courtesy of Hurricane Irene." As if things couldn't get any worse, Bach also announced that some of his personal memorabilia from over the years had been totally ruined. "Original SKID ROW and KISS fans, I have bad news for you. Gone are irreplacable items, such as my KISS Gargoyles from the 1979 tour. KISS pinball machine. SKID ROW master tapes, video and audio, concerts, master tapes from 'Oh Say Can You Scream', etc. Boxes and boxes of one-of-a-kind SKID ROW memorabilia, from the first tour to our last, all stuff I collected on the road that no one else had." Wow. Even though most of us would hate the world after something like this, Bach seems to have a relatively positive outlook. "New Jersey, thank you all so much for 25 years of rock 'n' roll. It's all over now. I will always love New Jersey, but now there is literally nothing left for me here except memories of a past life. Hello, Los Angeles. Hello, New Life. Here i am. It's time for a new start." Good luck, Sebastian. [SebastianBach.com]

The Playboy Club Returns to Chicago

25 years after the original club closed down, the famed Playboy Club is set to return to the Windy City. Playboy CEO Scott Flanders said the company is "in the final stages of selecting a site." One possible location is just blocks from the original Playboy Club at 116 E. Walton Street, which closed in 1986. The new Playboy Club is likely to feature a high-end restaurant and a lounge "in the classic Playboy Club style." The new venture is being built in partnership with Boston-based Tremont Realty Capital and caps off a year of renewed interest in the iconic brand. Unlike the original, the new Playboy Club will be open to the public; however it will also "offer perks to key-holding members." The new club featuring scantily-clad Playboy bunnies is expected to open by early 2012. [Chicago Tribune]
