Lindsay Lohan was recently accused of assaulting an employee of the Betty Ford clinic. Now the fracas may result in Lindsay returning to the clink.
Lindsay Lohan is currently under police investigation for battery against a Betty Ford clinic worker. Chemical dependency technician Dawn Holland alleges that Lohan attacked her after returning to her sober living residence after curfew. Holland told TMZ, “We were told by our administrator on-call to do a breathalyzer test, which she refused to do. She was very angry and out of control.” Holland says Lohan attacked her when she went to telephone the police. She claims, “She just grabbed my wrist and snatched it down, and twisted my arm and my hand… [and I] found out I have a severe sprain to my arm and my hand.”
Lohan is maintaining that it was Holland who instigated the fight and that she is the victim. Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, released a statement saying, "At this time, we are declining to comment on the underlying facts surrounding this incident, as we await the completion of the police investigation. It should be noted, however, that it was Ms. Lohan who called 911 to request police assistance at the time this incident occurred." Holland has subsequently lost her job after speaking to the media about the incident.
Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Richard Hirsch told People magazine, “If the latest allegations are true, it just spells disaster for Lindsay. After all the chances she's had, the judge may have no other option left [other than jail].” The last time Lohan fronted court Judge Fox threatened to sentence her to six months behind bars if she got into any trouble again.
The L.A. District Attorney is yet to be officially notified of Lohan's alleged bust-up.
