Layla's Girl, the story of a young woman forced to reevaluate her expectations of love and family after her mother's death, will be featured in the Common Grounds Movie Night Series on Thursday, July 17 in Brooklyn. The screening will start at dusk (approximately 8P) and be held in the backyard of Common Grounds Coffee House at 376 Tompkins Avenue (between Jefferson and Putnam Avenues). Admission is free with a minimum $5 purchase. Director Nicole Sylvester and actor LaShae Martin, both of Brooklyn, will be on hand to discuss the film.
