If we told you this keyboard went for around $600, you'd say we were taking crazy pills, right? Well, that's the deal, pal. This keyboard is going to cost you a sum similar to that of a budget laptop or a used motorcycle. But this isn't just any keyboard. This one's something special.
So what justifies the sticker shock? The gist of it is that this is essentially a full-featured netbook built into a keyboard chassis. It sports wireless HDMI connectivity, allowing you not only to control the action on your TV, but to actually broadcast that data feed directly from this device.
It's packing a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 16 or 32GB solid-state hard disk, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, and a rechargeable battery. And if you're too busy to update your Facebook status with your reaction to the last Heroes episode, you can just hop on the mobile site, right from the keyboard, using the on-board display.
Apparently ASUS is so excited to share this new super-keyboard with the world, they've moved the release date of the device from May all the way up to next month, so you better start saving, like, now.
