Sheyla Hershey’s reign as the woman with the world’s biggest breasts ended today in a life-saving operation that removed her breast implants.
Sheyla Hershey holds the world record for having the largest breasts and it’s a feat that nearly killed her. A severe infection has forced the Texan woman to have her record breaking 38KKK sized breasts removed. Now her days of being big-breasted are over.
Sheyla breasts turned deadly after she contracted staph and strep infections in both breasts during her 30th breast augmentation procedure in Brazil in June this year. Sheyla had to travel to Brazil for surgery as she was not legally allowed to have implants that big in the United States.
On returning to the states, Sheyla realized something was wrong and sought medical attention. Doctors administered a cocktail of antibiotic in the hope of saving her life and her breasts. However, the infection became so bad that doctors had little choice but to remove her implants.
Doctors removed four implants from Sheyla, two from each breasts. All in all doctors removed about two gallons of silicone from her chest. Unfortunately the infection was so advanced that they also removed all of Sheyla’s own breast tissue, leaving her with absolutely no breasts.
The 30-year-old says she regrets going so big and will try and live with her new bust (or lack of one). Shortly before going into surgery she said, “Even though I know I love to have huge breasts...I don't know why, I'm just addicted to it, I'm going to try to live without it.”
At least she'll have the mammaries memories.
