BEGINNING ASSESSMENT: Japan's armored lightning fast killer, the Ninja fighting Samurai, comes to battle against Rome's leader of 100, a Centurion.
SHORT RANGE: Katana Sword.
MEDIUM RANGE: Naginata.
LONG RANGE: Yumi.
SPECIAL: Kanabo Club.
SHORT RANGE: Gladius Sword.
MEDIUM RANGE: Dolabra Axe.
LONG RANGE: Pilum.
KATANA vs GLADIUS. EDGE = KATANA.
Both are amazing swords but the Katana has a greater slashing lethality and it is much faster.
NAGINATA vs DOLABRA. EDGE = NAGINATA.
I agree that the Dolabra is a great axe, but it is also short, allowing the quick Naginata kill first.
YUMI vs PILUM. EDGE = YUMI.
The Yumi has an ability to reload, and it has better accuracy. Like before, the Yumi has gotten the EDGE over the Viking Spears and the Spartan Javelin. The Pilum is a Javelin.
KANABO vs SCORPION. EDGE = SCORPION.
Even though the Scorpion is a siege weapon, the ability to reload and can kill at a farther range makes it a better weapon.
A Samurai is seen walking through a small clearing in the middle of a not-so-heavily forested area. He looks behind a tree, and a large spear flies at him. (It was from the scorpion). The spear misses by only several inches. He sees his enemy run away from both his weapon and the tree, holding a shield and a dolabra. The Samurai stays farther away and shoots an arrow from his yumi. The arrow sticks to the shield, and the axe chops it off. He runs up to his enemy, now wielding a katana.
Both the katana and the dolabra meet, and after battling for a moment or two, the Roman pulls up his shield and it bounces the Samurai down to the floor. As he gets up, he takes out his kanabo, and starts smashing the shield. Now that the shield is broken moderately, he sets it down, and pulls out his gladius.
The kanabo comes back up and throws the dolabra to the ground. The gladius comes close to stab the Samurai, but misses just by how short it is. The naginata comes out and blocks attacks by the gladius. The injured shield is brought up and throws the Samurai down again. The naginata is dropped, and the Samurai brings up the katana and slashes at the chainmail. The Samurai gets up again and starts slashing at the Centurion again. The slash that was supposed to decapitate the Roman, was rejected by the shield.
The Roman pushes the sword away, and then runs to a pilum planted in the ground. The Samurai, busy grabbing for his katana, is hit by the pilum in the leg. He pulls it out, and then takes out his Yumi again. Before the shield is taken up, the arrow is shot, and hits in the neck. The Roman spits up blood, and then falls to the ground, dead.
ROMAN CENTURION: 397.
ENDING ASSESSMENT: This battle seemed to come down to short ranges with the katana being more maunevarable and fast. The results show the katana being twice as deadly.
BEST PERFORMING WEAPON: The Katana had an amazing 212 kills.
LEAST PERFORMING WEAPON: The Pilum had 87 kills but wasn't too bad.
