Leaked Shots of New Gullwing Mercedes Benz Hit the Interwebz | SPIKE

Images of Mercedes Benz's new hotness, the V8-powered, 571HP gullwing'd SLS coupe have hit the net, and they bring with them the promise of equal parts adrenaline and sex appeal.

Soon to be replacing the Mercedes AMG SLR as the flagship model from Mercedes, the 2010 Mercedes Benz SLS Gullwing is an homage of sorts to the the legendary 1954 Mercedes 300SL and its gullwing door design.

The interior takes a decidedly modern approach, with generous helpings of leather, carbon fiber, and aluminum bits.

In the performance department, the motor boasts an 8000 RPM redline and a speedometer which tempts fate by topping out at 205mph.

The burly 571 horsepower V8 is hooked up to a seven speed, dual-clutch transmission, which provides the driver with the option of shifting from the center console or blipping through the gears via steering wheel paddles. Expect to see this beast terrorizing the streets by the end of the year.
