Battle: Los Angeles is inspired by the Battle of Los Angeles incident in which unidentified flying objects seen over Southern California in 1942 led to the 7th Coast Artillery Brigade firing shells into the sky at the reported aircrafts. Starring Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Michael Pena, and Bridget Moynahan, Battle tells the story of a Marine platoon that faces off against an alien invasion in present day Los Angeles. This looks so good it hurts.
