October's a big month. First we have the beginning of the four month rollout of Marvel NOW!, Marvel Comic's latest initiative that relaunches and rearranges the Marvel Universe.

October 9th, is also the premiere of the second season of Ink Master on Spike.

You may think the two are unrelated, but you're wrong, and not just because both are immensely entertaining and promise plenty of surprises from their characters. The fact is, most if not all of your favorite Marvel heroes have been inked. Think we're just making this up for some convenient reason? Think again. You may not have noticed it, but they're there.

WAIT, you seriously have never seen them before?! Maybe you need to use your imagination a little bit more. Don't believe us? Here, put on your special SPIKE shades and take a closer look...

Luke Cage, Hero for Hire, has ink that lets you know exactly what he's all about:

Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, shows off his credo:

Rogue of the X-Men wears her damage on her sleeve, literally:

Check this out: not only is scientist Bruce Banner inked…

…but so is his gamma-radiated alter ego, The Hulk:

(He did that one himself, obviously.)

Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, has always been known for the love and devotion he shows to friends and family, some of whom are no longer with us. His ink is a touching tribute to those lost to the battle against good and evil:

Meanwhile, Johnny Storm aka The Human Torch has a tattoo for the most important person in HIS life:

And finally, Wolverine is one of the most popular characters in comic book history and, arguably, Marvel's most iconic. And yes, he's got ink too.

The artists meet at the morgue in the first Ink Master flash challenge of the season. Will they have to tattoo corpses? Find out what happens during the Season Premiere Tuesday, October 9 at 10/9c on Spike.
