Paula Abdul Leaves American Idol

Paula Abdul announced yesterday that she has decided to quit American Idol and not return for another season.

The loopy American Idol Judge hit her Twitter page yesterday to officially tell her fans that she was no longer going to be a part of the show:

With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I’ll miss being a part of a show that I helped from day 1 become an international phenomenon.

In a statement from Fox, the show's producers said Abdul was "an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons," and they are "saddened that she has decided not to return to the show." They even had the balls to say she was a "tremendous talent." Fox also announced on Monday that Kara DioGuardi would return for a second season on the American Idol judging panel with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.

If being hammered on white wine and Xanax 24/7 makes you a “"tremendous talent," I really need to rethink what I’m doing with my life.
