Robotic Arm Uses Rocket Power

December 16, 2008

The Vanderbilt Arm “moves and feels exactly like the real thing” with one, bone-crushing caveat:  it is ten times as strong and fueled by rocket power.  This is RoboCop’s arm.  It’s the Terminator’s arm.  And now, should you lose a limb (fingers crossed), it can be your arm.

The fuel cell for this lavish limb is a tiny burn chamber the size of a pencil where hydrogen peroxide is combusted.  The device can run 18 hours on a full tank which is certainly more than enough time to hold your foe menacingly over a cliff in your now-iron grip of doom (or open 100,000 stuck pickle jars).
