Courteney Cox Admits She’s David Arquette’s Cougar

Courteney Cox has opened up publicly about her separation from husband David Arquette. The Cougar Town actress admits that that she still loves Arquette and that their age difference (Cox is seven years older) made her a cougar. She says, “I thought I had always been a little bit of a cougar with David. I don't find the whole cougar word that offensive. And also, a cougar is someone who takes care of herself and goes out with younger guys. She doesn't need a man to take care of her.” Cox still holds out hope that the marriage will survive, saying, “We loved each other so much, and if anything I feel like we've been extremely successful at marriage. If it doesn't work out, I will have huge waves of pain about failing in that department. But right now I don't have that because I don't know what the future holds and I guess because I have strong feelings for him.” Maybe they’ll work it out. [Harper’s Bazaar]

State of Indiana Puts Discounted Price on Student Death

Last year, a young Notre Dame student lost his life after falling from a large electronic contraption the state ruled he should not have been forced to use. Today, they sent a stern message to the multibillion dollar institution they found responsible. “Indiana regulators fined Notre Dame $77,500 on Tuesday for six safety violations in the October 2010 death of a 20-year-old student who was killed when the hydraulic lift he was on toppled over in high winds while he was filming football practice,” ESPN reported. Looks like Notre Dame is going to have to dig deep into their tip money to foot that bill. [ESPN]

Adrian Peterson’s Historical References Receive Scathing Reviews

Bringing up slavery is always a touchy subject. That’s why when Adrian Peterson did it in reference to the NFL strike, some people wondered if it was the appropriate term. “It's modern-day slavery, you know?” he said of the NFL labor dealings. Because apparently slavery usually comes with a Nike shoe contract and substantial signing bonus. [Yahoo!]
