The King's Speech is a historical British drama that tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. It stars Colin Firth as King George VI and Helena Bonham Carter as Queen Elizabeth. Geoffrey Rush plays speech therapist Lionel Logue, the man who helped King George overcome a very serious stutter. This ability to finally speech publicly allowed the King to lead his country into war. The King's Speech won the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival People's Choice Award.
