Trent Reznor has officially lashed out at former chum Marilyn Manson, dubbing him a "dopey clown" and accusing him of allowing alcohol to ruin his career.
Even though Trent produced Manson’s debut LP and took him on tour back in the mid-'90s, he claims that Marilyn has gone from a dedicated and driven artist to a boozing alcoholic.
In a recent Spinner interview, Reznor started off by saying that Manson “is a malicious guy and will step on anybody's face to succeed and cross any line of decency.” He then explained that “drugs and alcohol now rule his life and he's become a dopey clown. "He used to be the smartest guy in the room. And as a fan of his talents, I hope he gets his s**t together," Reznor says.
So do we. It’s gonna be really sad to watch Marilyn turn into the very thing he use to hate and despise.
