Stephan Bonnar's Terminator Effect

bygdesanctis   May 27, 2009 at 10:10AM  |  Views:  |  Comment

Stephan Bonnar is not the UFC light heavyweight champion. We know this, but apparently it's because he's been suffering from the Terminator Effect. You know, the when you create something really awesome but then it grows out of control, eventually gains self-awareness and takes over the world in a violent and bloody coup.

So maybe the UFC is not going to overthrow the government -- at least not yet -- but it is growing out of Bonnar's reach and he definitely had a hand in building it, so perhaps you'd more comfortable with the Frankenstein analogy, but he clearly helped create something he can't control. He even stopped by Amir Sadollah's late night headquarters to explain the phenomenon himself.
