Traveling Abroad and The High Crusade

by spike.com   November 25, 2010 at 3:00PM  |  Views: 210

Chris Sabin discusses the Motor City Machine Guns' upcoming trip to Dubai, and Alex Shelley describes the scheduling difficulties of being a full-time wrestler that plays in a rock band with other wrestlers.

Randomness.

I am very much looking forward to traveling to Dubai the day after Thanksgiving.  Hopefully the airplane bathrooms can handle a large group of professional wrestlers on high protein diets the day after eating Thanksgiving dinner.  Apologies in advance to those persons whose seats are located next to the bathrooms.

Why are we taught that money is the root of all evil, but at the same time success is measured by the amount of money we have?

I miss Thunderhorse.

TheHighCrusade.com - Looking for something to do this Friday night? Blondies, Detroit, The High Crusade LIVE. What about Sunday? Check out Frankies in Toledo, where The High Crusade will also be.

Search for "Chris Sabin Toy Story" in YouTube for a surprise, or check out Jeff Jarrett's YouTube channel. There's more where that came from.

We have the best tag team division in the world. Reality is a mirror, and you always get back what you put out. Always.

My next book in line to read is The Greatest Salesman in the World by OG Mandino, which was given to me by the one and only Bob...errr I mean Mr. Backlund. After that, "Countdown to Lockdown" written by the one and only Mick Foley.

End Transmission.

Thank you.

Alex Shelley

Playing shows.

Despite the fact that we've been a band for two and a half years, we've barely played any shows. It's hard. Five guys' schedules are a lot to manage, especially when three of them wrestle, and two of them have another band.

We're playing a show in two hours. I mean, by the time you read this, the show will be well over, but I'm writing in real time here. It's a place called Blondie's in Detroit. It should be interesting, and it's a venue that's been home to a number of awesome bands over the years. Last time we played a show, the other bands came up to us and asked why they had never heard of us. We explained our story, then they told us that we sounded like the MC5 and The Stooges. THAT was absolutely amazing. Detroit rock 'n roll has a specific sound, and those two bands pioneered that sound. What an honor.

Tonight, we again prove we're Detroit's best kept secret when it comes to music and that pro wrestlers don't always make offensive tunes. Then again, you wouldn't know we're pro wrestlers by looking at us. Is that a good or bad thing?
