Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal Get Naked

Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal have taken their clothes off for three new EW magazine covers. The talented actors posed sans clothes to promote their new flick Love and Other Drugs which also contains a fair bit of steamy nudity. Anne spilled the beans to EW on how she prepared for her sex scenes in the film, saying, “There is that revoltingly embarrassing moment when you have to take your clothes off in front of strangers. I mean, I don’t go to the beach in a bikini for a reason. So I thought, ‘Okay, I’m going to be in control. I’m going to do everything properly, disrobe at the last minute, and in between shots get the clothes back on.’ But then I found that every time I put my robe back on, it rubbed all the body makeup off, and that added 20 minutes to filming. As with all things in life, the second you stop making it about you and you make it about everyone else, it just got, dare I say, fun.” Hathaway also says that one scene sex was so physical she ended up bruised. This movie sounds totally awesome. [Pop Watch]

Doctors Save Arm By Stitching it to Leg

A nine-year-old Chinese girl has her hand thanks to some crafty surgery. Ming Li lost her hand in a tractor accident and her arm was too damaged for doctors to reattach it. To keep the hand alive, her doctors grafted it to her foot. According to Gawker, “When Ming Li arrived at the Zhengzhou hospital after having been run over by a tractor last June, her left hand was completely severed from her body and her arm was mangled. To keep her hand alive, doctors temporarily attached the appendage it to her right calf.” Three months later Li’s arm was in good enough condition to reattach the hand. Surgery was a success and circulation has apparently returned to the hand. Li will undergo two more surgeries to improve hand function and prevent scarring. Go medical science! [Gizmodo]

Kids See Saw 3D By Mistake at Megamind Screening

Families that recently took their kids to go see the film Megamind at a Massachusetts movie theatre got the shock of their life when Saw 3D was shown instead. The movie chain Showcase Cinemas accidentally screened the torture feature to a group of seven-year-old children celebrating a birthday. News outlets reported that the kids saw footage of a man with his foot cut off and a woman getting chopped up by a buzz saw. A father of one of the kids stated: "My child came and slept with us and we thought we had gotten past that years ago. He said that he had a few nightmares. All that I would like to see come out of this is that it's not going to happen again." This is the most awesome thing ever. [Movie Line]

Tiger Woods Wants you to Feel His Pain too

Earlier this year Tiger Woods was completely content with keeping his mouth shut and letting us wildly speculate things that may or may not have happened in his life. Thanks to his new hobby of essay writing, this is no longer the case. In a piece of prose for Newsweek Woods writes "I had been conducting my personal life in an artificial way--as if detached from the values my upbringing had taught, and that I should have embraced. The physical pain from that car accident has long healed. But the pain in my soul is more complex and unsettling; it has been far more difficult to ease--and to understand. But this much is obvious now: my life was out of balance, and my priorities were out of order. I made terrible choices and repeated mistakes. I hurt the people whom I loved the most. And even beyond accepting the consequences and responsibility, there is the ongoing struggle to learn from my failings." Sadly, Tiger will not be allowed to play his tournaments in the back of a coffee shop during "bring your own quiet shame" night. [Holly Scoop]

Free up a Spot on Your Fantasy Football Roster, Ron Artest May Be Switching Sports

It's been a few weeks since Ron Artest did or said something crazy. So it goes without saying that he had some built up insanity clogging his pipes. Luckily, he released it all over a recent report that noted the Lakers star is pondering a move to the NFL. "God willing, after my NBA career, God willing I’m still athletic enough – which I’m trying to take care of my body as best as possible and be prepared for this day, for this tryout of an NFL team,” Artest said. “It’s a fantasy of mine. It’s an opportunity because I’m athletic. So if that fantasy can be fulfilled, and if it’s something that can really be reached as far as a goal, I’m going for it. "  [CBS Sports]
