UFC Finalizes Fight Night 17

by gdesanctis   January 06, 2009 at 11:54AM  |  Views: 135

The highly anticipated return of TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah will finally happen as he takes on UFC newbie Nick Catone. Despite some speculation, Josh Neer will still be facing Mac Danzig on the televised card. Joe Lauzon and Hermes Franca will headline in the lightweight bout and Cain Velasquez will meet Denis Stojnic for the fourth televised fight, Live on Spike TV February 7. Hit the jump for the complete fight card.

Though he probably won't make it onto the telecast, keep your eye/ear out for Jake Rosholt, the highly-touted OSU wrestler and WEC vet. He has dominated his opposition thus far in smaller promotions and will look to make a big impression in his UFC debut. Also, Fioravanti/Johnson looks likely to be first in line for a filler fight on the broadcast, if time permits.
