As the new 2009 Cadillac CTS-V approached the completion of the development phase, GM started posting some very serious numbers to the ‘net, causing the hometown teams in the land of the Nurhburgring to start getting a little uncomfortable.
Well, Inside Line has confirmed what GM’s Bob Lutz has said all along – the new CTS-V puts the BMW M5 back on the trailer. And it does so on every single performance measure, be it 0-60, braking distance, slalom speed, or quarter mile time. What about the Mercedes Benz E63 AMG? No dice, Benz.
Did I mention it’s like 20 grand cheaper too? [Source: Edmunds]
