Titillating Street Parade

This is how New Zealand puts on a street parade. Over 100,000 people lined a street in Auckland during lunchtime for the annual Boobs on Bikes parade. (Now that’s a way to spend your lunch break). The parade features topless porn stars and is held in conjunction with the city’s Erotica Expo, an adults-only pornography trade exhibition. (pictures after the jump)

The topless ladies travelled on motorbikes and in fancy cars usually driven by a tough looking motorbike dude. One female participant found it all a little too hot and had to be cooled down. Luckily a large tank of water was near by.

The New Zealand Herald reported that this year’s parade was predictable and trashy, noting that the only surprises were that “Not all the crowd was male and not all the boobs were fake. One pair flopped in such a manner that it could only be as nature intended.”

This year’s parade nearly didn’t occur after Auckland City officials sought an injunction to stop it, saying it breached a bylaw banning offensive public events. Judge Nicola Mathers denied the request, noting that whilst people may find the parade offensive or tasteless, the fact that 80,000 people had gathered for a similar event last year meant a significant number of people did not agree with the critics. A few protestors attended the event, but no one was going to rain on this booby parade.
