Plastic Surgery Takes Former Miss Argentina Too Soon

December 3, 2009

A former Miss Argentina has tragically died after a botched plastic surgery procedure, in what has to be one of the most humiliating ways to die.

Solange Magnano was crowned Miss Argentina in 1994 and had a successful career as a model in Argentina. Last week the 38-year-old underwent a gluetoplasty (or butt job) in Buenos Aires. Argentina is famed for its cheap plastic surgery and reportedly one in 30 residents have had some sort of cosmetic procedure.

Solange, who was purportedly obsessed with her looks, was desperate for a firmer set of buttocks. Unfortunately her quest for beauty and a fine booty resulted in her losing her life. Solange underwent the procedure last week, but returned to hospital over the weekend when she had difficultly breathing. She lapsed into a coma and died of a pulmonary embolism.

Close friend and fashion designer Robert Piazza said the injections from the butt job “went to her lungs and brain.” He said, “A woman who had everything lost her life to have a slightly firmer behind.” Solange leaves behind 8-year-old twins. Her burial was broadcast live on Argentine television.

Well, at least her butt will look great in the afterlife.

RIP Solange Magnano.
