Visually Stunning Encounters

The trailer for Werner Herzog’s new documentary, Encounters at the End of the World, promises a visually stunning addition to his repertoire of films. Located in the Antarctic McMurdo Station at Ross Island, Herzog captures incredible footage beneath thick layers of ice in the freezing depths of the Antarctic waters.

Encounters looks to be a chilly answer to his documentary Grizzly Man, which took place in the forests of Alaska. Hopefully this film has a less…grisly ending.
