Jessica Simpson still kinda hates John Mayer, Justin Timberlake extends his acting career, and scientists create hangover-less booze...the Mantenna, for lack of a better word, is good.

Jessica Simpson Angry at John Mayer

Jessica Simpson dropped in on Oprah recently (the episode is due to air Wednesday) and talk turned to John Mayer. As you may or may not recall, in a recent interview with Playboy magazine Mayer called Simpson “sexual napalm” and “crazy” in bed. Now Simpson has reacted to Mayer’s comments, telling Oprah, "I'm not angry. I'm not angry. I'm -- well, I'm a little bit angry ... I'm a little bit angry." Okay, so she’s a teeny-weeny, little bit angry, but also kind of flattered (who doesn’t like being called a good lay?). She told Oprah, “I guess it could have been a lot worse.” Yeah, like you totally suck in bed. [Us Magazine]

Robert Pattinson Still Allergic to Va-jay-jays

In a recent interview with Details magazine, Twilight actor Robert Pattinson said he was “allergic to vaginas.” That’s an actual quote. Today on The View, Barbara Walters asked him if that was true. This is what he said: “I learned two things from that interview. Never try to make a joke during a print interview and never do interviews, ever." It then seemed he made another joking, adding, “I do have an actual allergy. It's terrible. It's a curse.” Does that mean he’s actually allergic to the vaginas? This guy should stop opening his mouth and stick to being a vampire. [Huffington Post]

Justin Timberlake Extends Acting Career

You thought it was over? Oh, no, it’s just begun! Justin Timberlake’s acting career is alive and well, thanks to getting cast in David Fincher’s The Social Network, and now he’s got a part in Jake Kasdan’s new movie Bad Teacher. He’s joining ranks with Cameron Diaz, Lucy Punch, Jason Segel, John Michael Higgins, and now Eric Stonestreet and Molly Shannon. Timberlake is going to play a substitute teacher who’s an heir to a large fortune. That’s right up his alley. [First Showing]

Joseph Gordon-Levitt Takes Over for James McAvoy

James McAvoy dropped out of the movie I’m With Cancer, based on screenwriter Will Reiser’s battle with cancer. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is replacing McAvoy to play the main character, Adam. Seth Rogen also stars in it, along with Anna Kendrick and Bryce Dallas Howard. McAvoy said stated he had personal reasons for leaving the movie. Let’s hope he didn’t leave because he personally thought the movie sucked. [MTV]

Guru is Recovering From Surgery

Following reports yesterday that Gang Starr's Guru had gone into a coma after suffering a heart attack, DJ Premier has tweeted that the rapper underwent a successful surgery today and is recovering even though he is still under a medically-induced coma. "Good news: #guru surgery was successful, keep sending him love," Premier posted today. Premier also tweeted: "#Guru still in a med induced coma, he's breathing with machine help. And please reporters, don't copy without care. #Pray." Get well, Guru! [Twitter]

Scientists Create Hangover-less Booze

Kwang-il Kwon and Hye Gwang Jeong of Chungnam National University have discovered that drinking alcohol with oxygen bubbles added leads to fewer hangovers and a shorter sobering up time. People drinking the bubbly booze sobered up 20-30 minutes faster and had less severe and fewer hangovers than people who drank the non-fizzy stuff. Okay, so where can we get the stuff? [IO 9]

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Developers Suddenly Axed by Activision

When you make a company a billion dollars in less than a year, one would assume you'd be allowed to do pretty much whatever you want. That doesn't seem to be the case, though. Infinity Ward co-founders Vince Zampella and Jason West are now both confirmed to have left the company, as changes to their LinkedIn profiles now indicate they're both out of job. This follows an SEC filing from Activision investigating "breaches of contract and insubordination by two senior employees at Infinity Ward." C'mon Activision - "insubordination?" You'd think they'd get a bit of pass after, you know, releasing the most popular video game of all time. [Kotaku]
