Yes, bars can be dirty and unsanitary, but nothing beats some of the bars we've seen on Bar Rescue. A successful bar doesn't involve bugs, snot and rodents crawling through your food and drinks, but some of the dirtiest bars certainly do.
5. Angel's Sports Bar
I love when rats and squirrels have taken over my local bar…not. Before Jon stepped in Angel's Sports Bar was slowly being eaten away by rats and squirrels. Looks like Jon arrived just in time to save this bar from the slowly disappearing money as well as the slowly disappearing building.
4. J.A. Murphy's Tavern
Do you like having your face screamed at by a Jon Taffer who has just been pissed off? Yeah, I didn't think so. Easy way to fix that is by not touching raw chicken and then immediately putting your hand in cheese, pretty simple. The Chef at J.A. Murphy's didn't find that too simple after cross contaminating the food at J.A. Murphy's, but Jon handled that.
3. Zanzibar Billiards Club
More cross contamination equals more pissed of Jon Taffer. I guess these chef's don't understand that when you cross contaminate you get chewed out by Jon Taffer, but don't stop we love it. This chef thought it would be a good idea to serve food and make food in his cooking gloves without ever washing them, yeah if you want to get screamed at then good idea.
2. Extremes Sports Bar
Who honestly likes to stand and have the smell of piss run through their nose all night, well the people at Extremes sure didn't mind. Before Jon came to help this bikini bar it smelled like a frat house restroom, and I think we all know that is one of the worst smells. Bars aren't supposed to be frat houses, grow up.
Bugs and mold always make for a nasty bar, especially if those bugs are making their way into your Long Island Ice Tea. Jon found his most gruesome bar on Bar Rescue when he discovered that cockroaches were literally everywhere, from the kitchen to inside the alcohol bottles. Yeah, I've heard of tequila with a worm in the bottom, but rum with cockroaches? No thanks.
