Fantasy sports are big business, and it's not hard to see why. Studies we've just made up here at Spike.com suggest that fantasy sports now are the most popular way to kill time at work. For the first time ever, fantasy sports are even bigger than looking up old girlfriends on facebook, pretending to update Excel sheets, and sleeping.
But now there are these lockouts. Who can say for sure when football and basketball are coming back? If you're a fantasy junkie like we are around here, you've got your baseball all squared away but you need more (we know, nobody plays fantasy hockey). What's a guy to do? Enter the brand new IMPACT WRESTLING Fantasy Game.
There's no better way to get your fantasy fix without having to learn how to play fantasy high school jai alai, or fantasy Australian rules water polo, or one of those other sports that only seem to be on one of those weird sports channels in the 600s on your cable plan.
How does it all work? It's easier than picking up a win after waffling a guy across the back with Janice. All the details are right here but the short version is that anyone can play in the public league, absolutely free. So there's no reason not to.
The game is in a trial period right now, so you should absolutely get your private league together with your friends, coworkers and adversaries and get a feel for the how it works before the inaugural season officially kicks off at Destination X on July 10.
Slamming your summer intern through a table is a bad idea. Beating him in the IMPACT WRESTLING Fantasy Game when Bobby Roode cracks Gunner with a beer bottle? That's just good clean fun.
Tune into IMPACT WRESTLING this and every Thursday at 9/8c only on Spike!
