Fight Night 18 Weigh-In Results

bygdesanctis   March 31, 2009 at 7:33PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

With the official weigh-ins completed, Fight Night 18 inches a little closer. Junie Browning looked in shape and focused but got in a little pre-fight scuffle with Cole Miller. But hey, what's a little shoving between friends? Jeremy Stephens and Gleison Tibau came in a little heavy and will be fighting at the catch weight of 158. Ryan Jensen and Steve Steinbeiss were conspicuously absent and the UFC is reporting this bout will not take place due to a "medical approval issue regarding Jensen." Hit the jump for the full results and my totally unrelated observations from Nashville.

Undercard

Tim McKenzie (184.5) vs. Aaron Simpson (186)
Rob Kimmons (185) vs. Joe Vedepo (185)
Jorge Rivera (185) vs. Nissen Osterneck (186)
Tim Credeur (186) vs. Nick Catone (186)
Brock Larson (171) vs. Jesse Sanders (171)
Ricardo Almeida (185.5) vs. Matt Horwich (185)
Gleison Tibau (156.5) vs. Jeremy Stephens (158)

Main Card

Junie Browning (156) vs. Cole Miller (156)
Tyson Griffin (156) vs. Rafael Dos Anjos (156)
Ryan Bader (206) vs. Carmelo Marrero (205)
Carlos Condit (170.5) vs. Martin Kampmann (170)

I've only been in Nashville for about eight hours now and I can say that's it's pretty much awesome. Even if you're not a country music fan, you're probably a fan of barbeque and booze, and there's something about suckin' back a pint glass of whiskey while sitting across from the birthplace of the Grand Ole Opry that just gets you pumped to watch some fights.

Plus I've seen about 37,000 blondes with big... eyes, which, you know, helps.
