The Spirit and His Women

bynathanbloch   November 20, 2008 at 3:21PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

A featurette that includes behind-the-scenes footage of the upcoming Frank Miller movie, The Spirit, takes us through his gamut of lovely ladies. Scarlett Johansson, Eva Mendes, Jaime King, and others traipse their way through this movie as they help the fallen cop, played by Gabriel Macht, go up against The Octopus (Samuel Jackson). Take a look at the featurette after the jump.

Not surprisingly, the footage shown in this featurette is just as unpromising as all the trailers that have come before it. The over-stylized look, the campy dialogue and the total lack of any intriguing story element foreshadows what will likely be a bomb. It appears there's too much of the original comic book in this movie, and too little adaptation for the screen.
