Paris Hilton is a Hardworking Pro

bygirls   May 06, 2009 at 6:15PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

Paris Hilton is being sued by the financiers of the little-seen film Pledge This for not working hard enough to promote the comedy. Paris has hit back saying she is so busy she, like, doesn’t even have time to pay her own cell phone bill or learn what a producer does. [OMG]

Paris is embroiled in a legal battle over promoting the film’s DVD release.  She insists in a deposition in Miami federal court that she worked hard promoting the film in Cannes and whereever she went:

Any chance I got, any red carpet, any press, if I was doing something for another product...I would just bring it up, "Oh, my new sorority film, it's going to be sexy, it's going to be really hot girls" -- like I really, you know, did my best.

Pledge This bombed at the box office, screening on only 25 screens a grossing a miserly $1.5 million. Paris’s lawyer, Michael Weinsten, described his client as “the single busiest person on the planet.” Paris is apparently so busy she has never seen her own cell phone bill. When asked who received her bills, Hilton responded: "I don't know. I'm assuming, like, whoever pays my bills. I never ask about that stuff."

Hilton is so busy she is even unsure what a producer does. She told lawyers, “I'm not sure what a producer does. I don't know, help get cool people in the cast."

Hilton was one of eight producers credited on the film and is due in court June 8th for the start of the Pledge This trial.
