This Year's CES Could Be the Year of the Tablet

byDannyGallagher   December 16, 2011 at 11:00AM  |  Views:  |  Comment

Ever since the late Steve Jobs unveiled Apple's groundbreaking iPad, the rest of the technology giant have been scrambling to find the elusive "iPad killer" that can put the touch screen giant in a tiny, handheld coffin. This year's Consumer Electronic Show will be no exception.

Now that Google's Android operating system, "Ice Cream Sandwich," has been unleashed, the rest of the tech giants have been building their own touch screen tablets to compete with Apple's latest iPad. Acer announced their Iconia A200 tablet will be at the show and Coby Electronics alone will unleashed five talents at the expo in January.

Not many details have been officially released on the specs for either company's lineup, but one thing's for sure: this can only mean that more tablets are just around the corner. Will any of them ever be able to defeat the iJuggernaut that is the iPad?

With all the new electronics and gadgets CES 2012 in Las Vegas is going to be absolutely phenomenal. Best part? As the official broadcaster of the entire event, SPIKE is going to give viewers at home an All Access pass to see what goes behind the closed doors of CES 2012: exclusives, celebrities, special guests, and surprises that you won't find anywhere else - and it all starts on January 10.
