Is This the New Gameboy?

It's long been rumored that the new handheld coming from Nintendo is going to pack some serious hardware along with some type of 3D visual element as well. Now it looks like some sources close to the project have dropped a few more details about the hotly anticipated device.

According to Kotaku's sources, "The Nintendo 3DS will have a 3D camera, two differently-designed screens, a tilt sensor, and will be significantly more powerful than current handhelds."

Sources also state that the handheld will sport an analog stick a la the Sony PSP, and that this portable will sport hardware that will be on par, if not superior to, the Wii console's internals.

Fortunately, we don't have long to wait to see if any or all of this is true, as the official specs for the 3DS will be revealed on Tuesday during Nintendo's E3 media briefing!
