I grew up in a small town in Upper Michigan called Alpena, where the bears, elk and wolves hang out in the snow.Describe yourself in 5 words or less
ARTISTIC, COMPETITIVE, A.D.D., SHORT, HANDSOME...LOLWhat drew you into the world of tattooing? What inspired you
I've been interested in the art itself since I was 17. Then I became a singer for a band who got signed and toured. Being involved with that I was able to see many people covered in their own artwork. When did you get your first tattoo? What was it?
I got my first tattoo when I was 18. It was terrible cover artwork from the Brother's Keeper album of an angel and devil holding hands.Have you won any awards?
Yes. Too many to count now... But it isn't why I do what I do. That's just a big bonus and a huge appreciation for all the hard work and love I've put into this industry! What was the worst tattoo you've ever seen?
The worst tattoo I've ever seen?! Hmmmm well I see one every day when people come in to get their mistakes covered up. Hopefully someday that will fade as the strong survive and the people who don't care or have love and inspiration to be great get pushed to the side or maybe head to the unemployment line.Who is your muse?
TIMMY B, RYAN THOMAS, STEVE MARTIN, MARTY MCKEWEN, and DOY GARDNER.... We all push each other to be better in tattooing and in life in general. Great family. Come check us out :)What advice do you give to someone who's looking to get their first tattoo?
Be patient and do your research. Make sure it's the exact artist you want for your tattoo. And when you're ready, give 'em the idea and let them put it together how "THEY" would do it to make it the best....That's why you're going to get work done by them, so the trust part is already over. Let them give you an amazing tattoo now... Not redraw it to make you the artist...Who do you think is your biggest competition on the show?
SHANE O'NEILL DUH!!!!! He's a legend. He should be a judge, not a contestant...Why do you think you are the Ink Master?
I think I have a good shot because I can do all aspects of tattooing and all styles.. Luckily my mentor taught me to be good or get good at everything and you will never go broke... So I think being a well rounded artist is a big key to why I am here and was chosen to compete!
