Christina Aguilera and Hubby Split

Singer Christina Aguilera and husband Jordan Bratman have separated. This marks the third high profile celebrity break-up in as many days (the other being Laura Dern/Ben Harper and Courtney Cox/David Arquette). The singer released a statement confirming the split and saying, “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever.” The couple was married in 2005 after dating for three years. Their son Max was born in 2008. A source close to the couple says they are “still in love” and trying to work it out. [People]

Angelina Jolie is Apparently the Only Hot Actress Left

British actress and Dynasty star Joan Collins is lamenting the lack of big screen beauties. The 77-year-old thinks there is only one true Hollywood beauty left. She tells the UK’s Hello! Magazine, “I have to say, there aren't that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there's Angelina Jolie and there's... Angelina Jolie.” Collins has also weighed in to the Jolie vs. Aniston feud and isn’t kind when it comes to Aniston’s looks. She says, “Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn't call her beautiful.” Brad Pitt might agree with her. Collins also adds that “the public are starved of gorgeous people” and that when she was younger “everybody on screen was gorgeous.” [Hello!]

Lady Gaga Challenged to a $1 Million Singing Competition

With the winner taking home $1 million, Lady Gaga has apparently been challenged to a live TV singing contest by singer Alisa Apps. Outlets are saying that the even would go down at Madison Square Garden or London's O2 Arena. "I feel sorry for Lady Gaga -- she's just a plastic doll generated by the music money marketing machine," Apps said in a statement. "This contest gives people a chance to choose which they prefer -- plastic or real." Lady Gaga has yet to respond to the challenge. Pop cat fight, y'all. Woo freakin' hoo. [Yahoo!]

Who Needs a Finger, Anyways?

A Virginia Tech guard broke off a small piece of his pinky during the team's game last Saturday. Rather than get it fixed, or scream in pain, the football star decided to just "walk it off" and play the remainder of the game with nine and a half fingers. According to local papers "he wanted to keep playing so [the doctor] took the finger, put it on ice and saved it for when it was ready. He then covered up the rest of [the player's} left hand with gauze and dressing and gave him some pain medicine. The 6-foot-6, 293-pound lineman didn't come out of the game until the fourth quarter. Conversely, the opposing team lost to a school playing with a guy who didn't quite have 10 full fingers. [Washington Post]

Sources Claim there May be an Exciting Baseball Game Tonight

Game five - which is like normal sports' game seven - of the Tampa Bay Rays and Texas Rangers series is happening tonight. The game is probably going on as you're reading this, and - according to sources - it may be a good one. David Price and Cliff Lee will be on the mound in front of thousands of Tampa Bay fans who will pretend like they've supported the team all year. It has all the makings of an ESPN Classic nobody will watch at 2:15 a.m. on a Tuesday. [ESPN]
