Every season a group of the best up-and-comers compete for a six-figure contract with the UFC and even as an up-and-comer, to be the best, they've had to see their share of fights. Some of the new faces have already had their hands at TUF alums and as it turns out, a few have already touched gloves with each other.
First off is Chris Camozzi, a fighter out of Denver who lost two of his three defeats to Jesse Forbes of season three and Jesse Taylor of season seven. Jesse Forbes also beat TUF 11's Cleburn Walker in June of 2009 by rear naked choke. New comer Jacen Flynn also lost to a TUF veteran when he was submitted by Ed Herman of season three by an armbar.
Not all of the upcoming cast members, however, met the same fate. Well trained in Brazilian jiu jitsu, Court McGee pulled out a win over TUF 9 finale runner-up DaMarques Johnson with a submission. McGee also took on season seven's Nick Rossborough, winning the fight by unanimous decision.
Australian native Kyle Noke fought season six alum George Sotiropoulos twice, winning the first by split decision and losing the second by unanimous decision.
Some have won and some have lost, but their past fights only serve as lessons to be learned for future ones. In the case for some of the new cast members though, their past fights may hit closer to home, at least for as long as they last in the TUF house.
Noke may have a win over an alum under his belt, but he also has bragging rights over his TUF 11 cast mate Kyacey Uscola, whom he secured a win over by unanimous decision.
Besides his loss to Noke, Kyacey Uscola also lost a fight to season two's Josh Burkman and season five's Brandon Melendez. On the up side, Uscola did take home a win over season one's Lodune Sincaid by TKO.
Victor O'Donnell had a perfect record of 7-0, winning all of his fights by submission, until September of 2009 when he went head-to-head with his new cast mate Costantinos Philippou. O'Donnell suffered his first loss that night when Philippou walked away with a unanimous decision.
Guess it's safe to say who won't be sharing rooms this season! We will have to wait and see if past fights between current cast mates will heat things up on TUF 11 when it premieres on March 31st at 10P/9C.
