Mexican Wrestling Involes an Odd Amount of Fan Punching

June 8, 2010

At Sea World, sitting in the front row may result in some unwanted wet t-shirts. At certain punk rock shows, it could lead to serious hearing damage or sex with the surly bassist who looks like a gentle lover. At Mexican wrestling promotions, there may be a punch to the jaw involved.

At some point during a match between two wrestlers (with possibly intimidating Spanish names), a masked gentleman appears perturbed when a fan attempts to rip off the mask he wore for Halloween last year.

Obviously this displeases him, and he responds by throwing a haymaker to the fan's face before continuing on with the match. Judging by the complete lack of shock on everyone's faces, this seems to be commonplace at these sorts of events.
