French First Lady Topless
The French are up in arms (like when aren't they?) over a decision by Christie's auction house to sell a nude photograph of France's First Lady, Carla Bruni, the new wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Milena Sales, a spokesman for Christie explains:
It's a work of art. It was shot in 1993 when Miss Bruni was a model and it's a tasteful nude portrait executed by a well known, respectable artist.
