Sex - Less is More
Lasting hours in sack and having sex for days like Sting: OUT
Having a roll in the hay that lasts less than 15 minutes: IN
According to CNN:
A survey of sex therapists concluded the optimal amount of time for sexual intercourse was 3 to 13 minutes. The findings, to be published in the May issue of the Journal of Sexual Medicine, strike at the notion that endurance is the key to a great sex life.
A couple of Penn State researchers surveyed 50 U.S. and Canadian sex therapists. The study did not include foreplay and the therapists were quick to point out that sex lasting 1 -2 minutes was inadequate. I say - No need to rub it in.
One of the researchers, Eric Corty said he hoped to "ease the minds of those who believe more of something good is better, and if you really want to satisfy your partner, you should last forever."
This backs up an earlier 4 week study of 1500 couples in 2005 that found the median time for sexual intercourse was 7.3 minutes. In this study the women had stopwatches. This would trouble me because when ever I am timed - like during my college track days - I want to go fast and win. But this is the kind of race you want to come last in. Confusing, Right?
I am truly thankful for this study, because now we fellows can say time... and size don't matter.
