Cellular Video Calling Is Here

bybradiger   May 28, 2010 at 2:29PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

Fring, now available for Android phones, is an app which makes two-way video phone calls a reality. So, how's it work? Only one way to find out.

It's obviously still in its infancy - the microphone feedback is definitely a problem which needs to be corrected - but ultimately, it works, as demonstrated by these two HTC EVO 4G phones which feature a front-facing camera, which is basically a must for this type of operation. And testing indicates that Fring works well on both WiFi and 3G with a minimal amount of talk delay. Man, are we living in the future or what?
