Los Angeles Lakers forward and occasional “fan assaulter” Ron Artest recently told a reporter from something called a “newspaper” (which my grandfather told me used to be quite popular) that his halftime rituals are a little different than most players who can not control the raging beast within.
Apparently, Ron-Ron used to "drink Hennessy ... at halftime," he explained. "I [kept it] in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store and get it."
In the same interview Artest went on to explain that the Pistons-Pacers brawl he started by running into the stands and beating up a random fan “wasn't my fault,” and that “I don't see anything I could have done different."
I mean… not attacking chubby white kids in the crowd seems like a no brainer, but I’m not an NBA player – so I can’t speculate.
"When I was a 19-year-old father, whew. I was a single pimp! I was wild," he explains. "A lot of marijuana and alcohol -- even before [that age]. ... I [still] party and I have fun, but not like I used to. I used to drink every night and party every night."
He was like the Gene Simmons of the NBA.
