After coming up short at the Oscars this year, Avatar’s Sigourney Weaver has decided to let the verbal jabs fly about why The Hurt Locker didn't deserve to take the top prizes.
While recently promoting Avatar in Brazil, Sigourney Weaver talked a bunch of trash about the Academy for giving The Hurt Locker’s Kathryn Bigelow the Best Director award instead of James Cameron. Weaver said Cameron lost to his ex-wife, Kathryn Bigelow, because she's a female.
"Jim didn't have breasts, and I think that was the reason," she told a Brazilian news site. "He should have taken home that Oscar." Weaver even voiced her disapproval of The Hurt Locker as the Best Picture winner. "In the past, Avatar would have won because they [Oscar voters] loved to hand out awards to big productions, like Ben-Hur. Today it's fashionable to give the Oscar to a small movie that nobody saw," Weaver said.
Now I wish I had boobs so I could win an Oscar.
