Woody Allen Casts Marion Cotillard | SPIKE

Writer/director Woody Allen is putting together an impressive cast for his next movie, presently untitled. He's already cast Owen Wilson and, potentially, Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the French first lady (though this is still unconfirmed). The newest addition to this mysterious film is Marion Cotillard, which means we'll definitely have some eye candy in this flick.

Deadline Hollywood got the scoop:

Allen's untitled film is being financed under his three-picture deal with Spain’s Mediapro. ...Allen long enjoyed a relationship with studios that few directors could match, where they financed his films without reading scripts. His road tripping began when he found funding overseas from financiers more amenable to such demands.

He just finished shooting You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, which sounds intriguing. This guy is prolific if nothing else.

There's not a lot more to report about this new movie, casting tidbits are popping up here and there but that's about it. The filmmaker is notorious for not letting the media get hold of any details about his projects, which, in this age of 24 hour news, is kind of refreshing.

That said, let's get some deets. Time to find out what Allen has hidden up his sleeve.
