Geek My Ride - iPhone Controlled Mazda

The overly geek’d out gear heads at Geek My Ride have taken a Mazda RX 8, an iPhone, and enough circuitry to build the robot from Short Circuit to make something brilliant. 

This vehicle is equipped with 3G mobile broadband card, a wireless router which allows authorized laptops to access it, a GPS, an RFID card reader (allows for remote start) and a custom built ignition manager.  

All of this has been mashed up into a customized iPod Touch/iPhone application which can control the car remotely James Bond style.  Check it out:
