6-Year-Old's Dying Wish: Meeting Ted Nugent

A Palm Beach girl is having her wish come true at the Fort Lauderdale airport today as the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida sends her to meet her rock idol Ted Nugent. Whaaa?!?! I smell parents at work.

Brianna Curry, 6, of Jupiter, Florida is battling a brain tumor and became a fan of Nugent recently by watching his reality show Spirit of the Wild on the Outdoor Channel. The Make-A-Wish Foundation officials have also said that Brianna enjoys Ted's music as well. I’m sure “Cat Scratch Fever” is in heavy rotation at the Curry home.

During her Wish vacation, Brianna, her parents and 4-year-old brother will spend four days in Texas where she'll meet Ted on the set of his program at the Spirit Wild Ranch in China Spring, TX:

Brianna and her family will arrive for their flight in a chauffeur-driven limousine and then be escorted by BSO patrol cars with lights flashing and sirens blaring. Once inside the terminal, Scribbles the clown and BSO deputies on lighted scooters will take Brianna and her family to their gate to enjoy cake and balloons before their flight. Additionally, BSO's Airport Rescue Fire Fighting team will celebrate the flight's departure with a water cannon salute.

A water cannon salute? Really? I’m sure this little girl can’t wait to shoot wild animals with a sniper rifle while going 50 mph on an ATV. That’s totally what I wanna do before I go.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. It is the largest wish-granting charity in the world with 67 chapters in the U.S. and its territories.
