Monster Blog: Bound For Glory

Hey everyone, it’s so nice to be able to sit down and relax and write my thoughts and feelings to you today. You see, it’s a special week for me and everyone at TNA. Why, you ask?Well, for those of you who don’t know, it’s Bound for Glory week and everyone at TNA is preparing for our biggest pay-per-view event of the year, Bound for Glory.  It’s going to be a monumental event with some unbelievable matchups.  It certainly will be a weekend to remember.
Sting vs. AJ Styles for the TNA heavyweight title will be one for the ages as the veteran and Icon Sting takes on the young and truly phenomenal AJ Styles. Is this Sting’s final curtain??? There has been a lot of speculation but nobody knows for sure. This is AJ's first title defense since winning the title at No Surrender. Will he be able to successfully defend his title against the true wrestling Icon???  Lots of interesting questions will be answered in this matchup.
Matt Morgan vs. Kurt Angle should also be quite an interesting matchup as Matt Morgan is truly a man to be dealt with in TNA. He has proven that recently, and continues to become a force to be reckoned with in TNA. However, it’s Kurt Angle we are talking about and Kurt has also proven a thing or two in his career.  This will be a matchup of will and heart as both men are strong competitors, striving to be the best in any setting. Bound for Glory should add that setting for these two to tear it up.
These are just two matchups that jump out at me as interesting for Bound for Glory. Okay, obviously I think my matchup with Mick Foley is of quite a bit of interest to wrestling fans all over the world.  Indeed, I am excited, honored, and thrilled to be taking on my mentor and someone who I have looked up to for a long time.  I wish it was under different circumstances but Mick felt the need to do what he did, so I felt the need to do what I did.  The Monsters Ball is not just the signature match of hardcore wrestling, it’s a war and a mindset. When I step in the ring Sunday at Bound for Glory and I look across the ring, I will be looking at a man that I truly respect but despise at the same time. Without a doubt, Mick Foley and Abyss in the Monsters Ball is a matchup that MANY have waited a long time to see, including me.  Mick Foley set the bar for wrestlers like me. I have continued to raise that bar during my career in TNA.  This Sunday I feel that Mick and I are going to do something special and compete in the most memorable and exciting hardcore match in the history of wrestling.  It is going to be wild and barbaric. Would either of us have it any other way????
I’m so excited about fan interaction, too, ya know, on Saturday. This always offers one of the rare opportunities for me to get to meet-and-greet with some of our great fans.  It’s always fun and exciting. I hope to see all of our California fans there. Check out TNAWRESTLING.COM for details and I’ll see you all there.
Well everyone, it’s time for me to go. I am training extra hard this week and preparing for the matchup of my career in a match that can end either of our careers in an instant.  Once again, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Take care, wish me luck. Bye, bye.
