In what seems to be one of the ballsier moves during these harsh economic times, over the weekend at an Atlanta nightclub, boxing star Floyd Mayweather, Jr. was photographed with friends and a few hot dames setting a $100 bill on fire inside the establishment. For those of you that are wondering, even thought it is illegal to burn the US currency here in the States, according to TMZ

On June 29, 2011, former NBA player José Ortiz was arrested for drug-related charges after Federal agents seized 218 marijuana plants from his rented property as well as 40 rounds of assault-rifle ammunitions for AR-15 rifles. Ortiz was charged last week with possession with intent to distribute and U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez stated that Ortiz faces a minimum of five years in prison if found guilty. Ortiz played ball for the Utah Jazz from 1988 to 1990 and also had a college stint at Oregon State University. This dude is the Tommy Chong of basketball, y’all.
