Kanye Thinks He's the Michael Jordan of Rap

bydsussman   June 02, 2009 at 5:02PM  |  Views:  |  Comment

In a recent interview with MTV about his new book for non-readers and his upcoming studio LP, Kanye couldn’t hold back on commenting on his supreme skills in the rap game.

"I kill that rap sh--, that's what I do," Kanye said of his in-the-works album. Ye tried to put all MCs on notice by saying that his lyrics are "awes-mazing” and that “they're basically untouchable.” “I'm about to take it to a whole 'nother level,” West said. “I'd be scared if I was not me." The guy just has a way with words.

The most ludicrous flub had to when he tried to compare himself to Michael Jackson and Michael Jordan all at the same time.  Kanye stated: "As far as rapping goes, how can I say this? Jordan, Michael Jackson — it's what I do," Easy, buddy.

I feel like Ye has a little bit less of an ego these days, but that narcissistic urge seems to creep up on him like an old drug addiction. The man just can’t help but praise himself.
