Want to see “Paranormal Activity 3” first? Then tweet all about it. Paramount Pictures has announced that it will debut the film exclusively in cities where the most Twitter-savvy fans “Tweet To See It First,” as part of a social-media-forward new marketing campaign. Finally all your free 140-character endorsements actually pay off for something!

Premiering on October 18th to the top 20 cities with the most “Paranormal” tweets, the most enthusiastically tweeting cities will get to see the movie three days before it opens to the general public. Here’s how it works:

To vote, fans can go to www.ParanormalMovie.com and select their city from a global map, which will also serve as the point of entry to create a tweet with a special set of hash tags that link directly to Twitter. Once a tweet posts, it counts as a vote. A leader board will show the top 20 global markets in real-time.

If you think your city has what it takes, then make sure to hammer away at those tweets before the competition ends at 11:59 p.m. PDT on Thursday, October 13th. The top 20 cities will be announced the following day.
