Gibson’s New GF Sues Manager Over Lingerie Shots

Mel Gibson’s new girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva is suing her former manager for distributing sexy lingerie photos. The “accomplished composer and performer” claims in a lawsuit that Samuel Oriti violated an agreement struck when the photos where taken five years ago. Grigorieva, who is expecting a child with Gibson, sent Oriti a cease and desist notice soon after the photos hit websites such as RadarOnline. Oriti ignored her request. [The Smoking Gun]

Jennifer Aniston is America’s Favorite Dog Sitter

Jennifer Aniston has officially been named the top celebrity Americans would trust the most to babysit their pets. The Marley and Me star, who’s regularly photographed walking her own dogs, earned a whopping 70% of the votes in the PawNation.com poll. She beat out other pet-friendly celebs such as Pamela Anderson, Nicole Richie, and Mickey Rourke. [OK Magazine]

Ghostbusters Director Finally Talks about Ghostbusters 3

Ivan Reitman, the man behind the camera of Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2, has finally spoken out publically about the third film that’s presently in the works. He stated, ” There's something in the zeitgeist of the world right now that it feels appropriate. There are some very talented people writing the screenplay.” He goes on, “The most important thing [is] we don't want it to be a disappointment to the people who have sort of taken this very much to their hearts. I feel the responsibility as the producer and director of the original in a very legitimate and real way.” Okay, well, for starters it might be good to keep the original characters that the fanbase loves, rather than recruiting Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku to be Ghostbusters – which, independent of any sequel, makes absolutely no sense. Another way to not disappoint fans would be to have Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd write the script and not a couple of sitcom hacks from The Office. But that’s just me. Maybe Reitman will have a few more words of wisdom about this ill-advised film. [First Showing]

After being pushed back a couple times, production is finally finished on Lil Wayne's Rebirth LP, and it's ready to hit the stores. "Expect great music. That's all I ever want them to expect from me," Wayne told MTV after the recent Movie Awards. "I wanted to grow and show my growth as well," he added. "It's a difference from when you go in a room and come out and you're better and everyone says, 'How did you do that?' So with this album, I wanted everyone to see my growing pains." [MTV]

Sam Butera, Former Louis Prima Saxophonist, Dies

Sam Butera, the hard-driving, hard-swinging New Orleans saxophonist who was Louis Prima's longtime musical partner, died yesterday in Las Vegas following a long illness. He was 81. Butera joined Prima's band in 1954. With singer Keely Smith, they built one of the most popular acts in the golden age of Las Vegas. Mr. Butera cooked up the arrangements that gave the likes of "Just a Gigolo," "I Ain't Got Nobody," and "Jump Jive An' Wail" maximum impact. R.I.P. [Nola]

Judge Rules it's Legal to Taser Someone for DNA Sample

As long as it is not done "maliciously, or to an excessive extent, or with resulting injury," Niagara County, New York Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza has ruled that using a Taser to obtain a DNA sample is legally valid. Is refusing to give up a DNA sample on the same level as being violent? That is to say, should it be a Taserable offense? [Buffalo News]

Wall Street Journal Blabs About New iPhone Release Next Week

Walt Mossberg of the WSJ is known for getting iPhone hardware weeks ahead of time. During his Palm Pre review this week, it appears he unintentionally confirmed that a new iPhone model will be available next week and that Apple will launch new hardware at WWDC: "I'd note that the new iPhone to be unveiled next week will have lots of added features that could alter those calculations." Seems pretty definitive. [Ptech]
